STATEMENTS OF PURPOSE “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it” Proverbs 6:22 The Teachers’ Training Course of the New Alpha Academy is an extension of the Ministry of the Bombay Baptist Church. We are committed to training Christian teachers who are committed to extending God’s Kingdom into the lives of young children, through the field of education. Through Biblical principles, each teacher is personally equipped to teach primary and pre-primary children through a series of lectures, practical activities and assignments. We believe that each child is a unique individual, made in the image of God, and deserves to be treated with respect and love. We also believe that God has a unique plan for each child. Since no two children are the same, teaching must reflect the fact that the classroom has children from diverse backgrounds, with different abilities and talents, as well as gifting. The emphasis throughout the course is gaining a Perspective of education from the Bible, which would also translate into the practical reality of the Indian classroom. Besides this, those who complete the course could initiate/ support Sunday schools, Children’s Ministries, activity clubs and other related ministries of the church.   AIMS AND OBJECTIVES • To Built an awareness of the current scenario in India Education, an appreciation of the positive and negative points of our system, and an awareness of our role as “Salt and Light” in the system. • To impart an awareness of the centrality of Christ in all education. True knowledge is knowledge...

King’s online bible school

In these days of uncertainty, the need for the Word of God is greater than ever. Here we find truth: a solid foundation, an accurate compass, a clear direction. God has given us in the revelation of His inerrant Word the final authority for our faith and practice. But how are we to help people become grounded in that Word rather than drifting with the tide? We believe that the local church has been given the mandate to equip the saints for works of service. In King’s Online Bible School we offer resources that churches may use to provide a biblical foundation. No need to go off to Bible College – the resources are available to use at home! Ideally, the courses can be pursued under the pastoral care of the local church, with special training available here to enable mentors to walk students through the material. It’s a flexible approach: you can sign up for individual courses, register for part-time study, or you can engage in the full one-year program. We want to help you run the race. We want to help you train. We want to help you find somebody to run alongside you. We want you to win!   For more information click...

For people wanting to find out more about the Christian faith, we suggest they go on our Foundation Course.   For those who are regular members of a GMI church, we run, what we call, a ‘Discovering my Ministry’ course. This one-off afternoon session will help you look at areas in the life of the church, where your skills and talents could be used. We encourage all our members to serve and function in an area of church life. We have further courses to help raise up and train leaders who seek to shoulder responsibilities for our growing churches.
