COURSE OVERVIEW

A 9-Month Journey Forming Leaders

The Youth Leadership Formation Course is a 9-month journey designed to form and equip youth leaders who are rooted in Christ, relational in community, and engaged in mission.

Through fortnightly training sessions, mentoring, fieldwork, and assignments, participants are equipped to lead youth, disciple young people, build ministry teams, and live missionally.

This is not just a training programme — it is a formational journey that shapes character, builds competence, and sends leaders into God’s mission through the local Church.

HOW IT WORKS

Course Structure

Training Sessions

Twice-monthly, in-person on Saturdays

18 training sessions across 4 progressive blocks

Led by experienced church leaders and practitioners

Fieldwork & Mentoring

Serve in a youth group — leading or assisting

Intentionally disciple young people

Assist pastors in youth-related responsibilities

Monthly one-on-one mentor meetings

Engage in meaningful youth conversations

Assignments & Project

Read 1–2 selected books

Engage with a video teaching series

Reflect on ministry experiences & personal growth

Final Project: Plan, coordinate & execute a Youth Event/Camp for GMI

ELIGIBILITY

Who Is This For?

  • Personal relationship with Jesus & growing spiritual life
  • Actively involved in a local church for at least 1 year
  • Water baptised and currently being discipled
  • Young adults typically aged 18–35 (flexible)
  • Genuine burden to serve and disciple youth
  • Currently serving in youth ministry or willing to begin
  • Teachable, faithful, committed to character growth
  • Can commit to all sessions, mentoring & fieldwork
  • Recommended by their Pastor
  • Completed Grade 10 or proficient in English
  • Clears the interview process

Mumbai Participants

Attend in person at one of three locations:
Colaba · Chembur · Powai

Outstation Participants

Gather at a local venue in your city and join online, coordinated through your church leadership.
